SUMMARY: Evaluating, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes, work cells, and machinery. Able to obtain and make use of data to drive decisions about cell design and process improvement. Familiar with evaluating and documenting existing processes. Capital acquisition experience- able to identify process improvements, recommend capital investment required, and communicate need to leadership. Experience required in calculating ROI, increased throughput, and relaying out processes. High level of proficiency with 3D CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software to layout work cells, revise product flow, and design tooling. Evaluate existing tooling and fixturing, make recommendations to improve safety, operability, and efficiency.
Director of Cost Accounting
SALARY: 130,000–$159,000 annually

SUMMARY: The Director of Cost Accounting will lead and oversee the cost accounting functions within the organization. This leadership role is responsible for managing the cost accounting team and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of all operations-related financial data. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, and FP&A, to provide critical insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

SUMMARY: The Director of FP Operations & Accounting will manage the Financial Planning & Analysis and the Cost Accounting teams. Both teams play critical roles at Northwest Pipe Company. FP&A is an important function, sitting at the center of the broader finance team to help the CFO, the Company’s leadership, and the board gain financial visibility and insights on the business. Cost Accounting ensures the financial accuracy in reporting operation’s performance. This role collaborates with other key operational teams on the moving pieces that impact the Company’s financial outlook, and includes responsibilities in the areas of cost accounting, forecasting, controls, policy and procedure development, and internal and external audit support.
